The 2021/2022 ski season is just around the corner and this winter we have a very special highlight for you – our brand new hotel area. In our last Blog post we have already announced that this will also have a new name.
Now we are happy to show you the new name and logo. 
Die Arlbergerin – A name with tradition
Now the time has come… our new hotel area will bear the name “Die Arlbergerin”. With this name we would like to show above all our attachment to our homeland – the Arlberg. The Arlberg is a region steeped in history with a long tradition. Not for nothing are the mountains around St. Anton am Arlberg, Lech and St. Christoph am Arlberg considered the cradle of alpine skiing. Already in the late 19th century the first tourists came to ski and the Ski Club Arlberg, founded in 1901, is now the largest ski club in Europe. We are deeply connected with the history of our homeland and proud Arlbergers.
Die Arlbergerin – A name with history
But the name „Die Arlbergerin“ also tells a very personal story for us. For three generations now, our family has been running an accommodation business on the Arlberg. Our grandmother opened with the “Steinbock” one of the first accommodations in St. Anton am Arlberg. As a Tyrolean innkeeper, our father was already known far beyond the Arlberg and our mother Roswitha, who regularly put a smile on the faces of our guests with her cooking skills, shaped our company and showed early on what is possible with female power. We, Barbara and Mathias, are now allowed to continue our business and with it also our family history.

Die Arlbergerin – A modern name
So we have chosen a very historical name that reflects our roots and tells a bit of family history. Thus, the name forms a nice contrast to our brand new hotel area. We have used the summer and changed a few things. You can look forward to a total of 15 newly designed rooms – each with a very special highlight. The bar and reception area also shine in new splendor. For the future we are already planning one or the other special feature for you. Tradition meets modernity – welcome to the die Arlbergerin.
Die Arlbergerin – An extraordinary name
With the new name we are entering unfamiliar territory – it is unusual, special and also a bit brave. We have learned from our parents to always be open to new things. When we presented our new name to our father a few months before his death, he was fully one thing: proud. He always stood behind us with all new ideas and that encourages us in our daily work. That is why our hotel now has a new name – and we are still there for you with our usual hospitality.
